A few things I believe
- Most IT problems are not technology problems. They are ownership problems.
- If onboarding is bad, nothing else you fix will matter. It is the first thing every new hire judges you on, and they are usually right.
- Banning AI tools does not stop AI use. It moves it to personal accounts where you cannot see any of it.
- The cheapest security investment is a clean identity setup. Most companies buy five products before they fix that.
- Nobody remembers the migration that went well. Plan accordingly.

OPERATOR ROOTS
Background
I started as a systems administrator in Buenos Aires, Argentina and spent the next twenty years building IT organizations that had to grow faster than anyone planned for. I led IT across Latin America at JAS Forwarding, ran Corporate IT at WeWork through the pre-IPO years, and most recently led global IT operations and infrastructure at Moelis & Company.
I now do that work on an advisory and fractional basis, for companies that need the judgment of an experienced technology leader without the overhead of a full-time executive.
